In a stand-up routine years ago, the comedian Rita Rudner quipped that she hoped to strike it filthy rich someday.

"Some people get so rich they lose all respect for humanity," she told the audience. "That's how rich I want to be."

Well, Rita, the 10 billionaires on this list may not have lost all respect for humanity just yet, but one could argue for the reverse.

Between the litigious mistresses, sex abuse charges, and corruption allegations, this select crop of 0.0001%-ers haven't done much to redeem themselves in the eyes of the 99%.
