Marcus Padley is the owner and author of the MARCUS TODAY daily stockmarket newsletter. Produced every day it comments and informs, educates and entertains investors about what's going on and what needs to be done in the market on the day, today, everyday. His columns are written in "straight speak", stripping away the jargon and mystery from the stockmarket and delivering it to Mum and Dad investors and traders in bite sized nuggets they can understand and relate to.
Marcus is a regular columnist in The Age, the Sydney Morning Herald, the WA News and has been the Expert Analyst on the ABC TV's Inside Business program with Alan Kohler for the last 4 years. He has a regular spot on ABC TV's Lateline Business with Ali Moore. He has daily spots at a variety of on line media outlets including Crikey.com and The Eureka Report and is a regular on ABC and commercial radio business bulletins and programs. He has a daily stockmarket blog on Max Walkers IRadioMax.
Marcus has been a stockbroker for 25 years, sixteen of which were spent talking to institutional fund managers in the UK, Scotland, Asia and Australia. He has a Masters in Applied Finance, is a Bachelor of Law and a Master Stockbroking member of the Securities and Derivatives Investment Association. He is Derivatives licenced and qualified. Now as a private client adviser with a stockbroker he advises clients and subscribers from the front line, a dealing desk.
Born a Yorkshireman, Marcus emigrated to Melbourne in 1994 as the souvenir of his Australian wife Emma's visit to London. He is 43 with three daughters and (finally) a son.Forget the market averages the media concentrates on and focus your attention towards the stocks you hold or want to hold.
