
Jitters about the global economy and the future of the mining boom seem to be hurting employer confidence, with an industry survey showing that job advertisements have fallen for six straight months.

According to data listed by jobs website Seek, mining - despite all the doom and gloom reports - still remains the highest paid sector in the country.

ReplyWorking for wages is a suckers' game - sorry, not being nasty, it's just you lose every which way you turn. Every time you gain a little the tax man, child care/ support, electricity company lines up to take it off you. I've been out contracting for 5 years and won't go back to that
