Harken not to thos who tell you all is well...

For now is the TIME TO THINK CAREFULLY...

and having thought ...

A TIME TO ACT...a time to take appropriate actions that will result in your taking control of your finances and ensuring your financial security in the years to come.

WAIT NOT for the leaders of our country to tell you that their efforts to prevent the ECONOMIC DISASTER which looms on the not too distant horizon have failed..

ACT now in the knowledge that what actions the government is now taking are simply delaying the inevitable. In the end, the disaster we all fear shall indeed be as destructive and painful as we know it shall be.

So! Have no doubt my friends...

AUSTRALIA - ECONOMIC DISASTER LOOMS

Only those who have the courage and wisdom to see beyond the sweet words of the optomists shall survive with their
financial security intact.

it wouldn't surprise me if another world war were to be announced.

I think they've purposely been making ANZAC day bigger and bigger over the last decade or so, romanticising war, building national pride; Possibly preparing people of suitable age for drafting.

The English loved to use 'colonials' for their heaviest fighting. The English may take the credit for victory later, but they prefer that most casualties be in the column of others. Thus they used Australians to invade Turkey in 1915.
The Australian and New Zealand troops were originally sent to assist in taking over Constantinople. Since there were mines in the Dardanelles the fleet were forced to land up the coast, but due to miscalculations we landed in Gallipoli, faced with nothing but hills and cliffs.
lest we forget and lets not do that again

============

The above article says quite a bit about the basic thought patterns & assumptions of those who wrote it, many of those in business (Big Business particularly) & those in Politics!

The basic idea is that Perceptions dictate everything -
1) In a fixed mindset, "your qualities are carved in stone."
2) In a growth mindset, "your basic qualities are things you can cultivate through your efforts...everyone can change and grow through application and experience." Qualities like intelligence are a starting point, but success comes as a result of effort, learning, and persistence.

The inference being that "a fixed mindset" will have greater difficulty in growing to meet the challenges of a changing & challenging world and that may well be correct!

However, whilst "a growth mindset" is good to an extent, the inference that  can overcome any & all obstacles is part of the reason we now find ourselves between a rock & hard place.

Not only is it unlikely to be always true, it is positively a danger, if left unchecked, to run rampant thru Politics & Big Business, as a basic given, because it gave & continues give those in power, the thought that "something" will come along to fix our future problems, simply because we (they) say it will be!

The current set of circumstances, which we are now living thru, are testament to the fact the several generations (of Politicians & The Powers That Be) have assumed that "something will come along to fix our future problems".

In short, there has been an inherent assumption that "human innovation" would fix the problems created by the last four generations of human Demographics and the last 200 years of Energy usuage?

That fix has not eventuated! The reason why it did not eventuate, was because TPTB assumed something, but did not invest in the time or effort to bring it to Reality!

We are now living thru a failure to properly Plan for the future!

As has been said, a failure to plan, in effect is planning to fail!

"What is you kid going to study?  What will really be needed for the next 100 years?"

Business Ownership, maybe a retirement home.
There will always be old people with money & needs

"Millions of hungry, desperate and homeless"

IMO This has nothing to do with an economic disaster looming.
The RBA admit that the interest rate is currently above the norm, this is likely due to Australias economy booming.

Hi Professor

You keep mentioning WW3 and the stupidity of our leaders that you believe is directing us that way but always fail to mention the specifics of the stupid actions and decisions that will lead us to war. I am listening but you aren't presenting your case!

Granted the alliances that have been in force for over half a century could lead to that but I have to ask why are these symptomatic of stupidity in 2010?

Unless you point out the specifics of you case it is just ranting IMO! War can occur any time anywhere and in every case war is stupid! Some things never change!

Cheers

Glad to see the blog is back!

The worst is yet to come for Australia Steve.

Economic disaster looms while those who fail to see or choose not to see squander so much....

Pete,

Australias economy is a resource driven economy, as asia continues to grow we will ride the wave, we have billions of dollars being spent on the mining/resource industry right now & all this money will feed though to our overall economy.
If you do some google research you will find the facts on australias booming resource future mate.

Keeping with the facts? Sounds like a foreign concept to some posters in this thread

Hi Professor

Goodness man what have you been smoking? Either that or you need to lay off the philosophy of Sun Tzu a bit he he

You seem to want us all on a war footing but still have yet to say why!

Why would we need or want 1001 US bases in WA? More to the point why would the US want those bases anyway?

Cheers
