Tas Gas
Tas Gas Retail (formerly Option One) is a Tasmanian natural gas supplier and was the first gas retailer in the State to be issued a retail gas licence by the Tasmanian Energy Regulator. Tas Gas Retail supplies natural gas to homes, commercial organisations and industry.
According to Tas Gas Retail, natural gas is one of the cleanest fuels available and highly efficient in heating residences, cooking and for hot water. By connecting your home to natural gas, customers can save money due to the lower prices and higher efficiency of natural gas.
As natural gas is relatively new in Tasmania, Tas Gas Retail assists homes and businesses to get connected with natural gas. Customers in Bell Bay, Longford, Devonport, Burnie, Westbury, Wynyard, Launceston and Hobart should have access to natural gas. As a guide, installation should take roughly 6-8 weeks once your application is lodged.
Tas Gas Retail is a subsidiary of PowerCo, the company that is building and operating the natural gas network in Tasmania, which is called Tas Gas Networks.
