ActewAGL Retail was established in October 2000 as a joint venture between AGL Energy Limited and ACTEW Corporation Limited (an ACT Government owned enterprise). ActewAGL provides a range of different services under the one company umbrella, including electricity, natural gas, water and wastewater services, as well as phone, broadband, subscription TV and mobile phone plans. They also provide qualified trade specialists to install, service and repair their electrical, gas and hot water appliances.


ActewAGL offers good value bundled plans to ACT residents. They can choose to have up to six services provided by ActewAGL, including mobile, broadband and water. Residents of NSW have the choice of combining gas and electricity.


ActewAGL is also a distributor of energy to other suppliers for resale to customers. This part of the business is owned by a joint venture between Singapore Power Limited and ACTEW Corporation Limited.
