As an eligible concession card holder you are entitled to the same concessions no matter which company you choose as your energy supplier. Switching from one supplier to another does not affect your entitlement to receive a concession.
Energy concessions in your state
Energy rebates are offered to NSW residents who hold a:
• Centrelink Healthcare Card
Concessions are also available to customers who require life support equipment in their home. Energy Accounts Payment Assistance is also available to those experiencing temporary financial difficulty. These are one-off relief packages available to eligible individuals who experience hardship or emergency. • Department of Veterans' Affairs Pensioner Concession card
A heating allowance rebate is available to eligible pensioners and is administered by the Department of Health and Human Services. A life support discount is also available to eligible residents. More information can be obtained from Aurora Energy.
The ACT Department of Disability, Housing and Community Services administers the ACT Concessions Program. Energy Concessions are available for people holding a:
• Department of Veterans’ Affairs War Widow, TPI and EDA Gold Card
Life support concessions are available to customers who use electrically operated life support to treat a life–threatening condition that is prescribed by an ACT medical practitioner. More information can be obtained from ACT Dept of Disability, Housing and Community Services.
Power and Water administers Pensioner and Carer concessions for electricity services on behalf of the Department of Health and Families. Concessions of up to 50% of the cost of electricity bills are available for people holding a Northern Territory Pensioner & Carer Concession Card.
