Jim Citrin

James "Jim" Citrin is a Senior Director of Spencer Stuart, one of the world's preeminent executive search firms, where he founded the global Technology, Communications, and Media Practice. In his 12 years with the firm, he has recruited over 300 CEOs, CFOs, board directors, and other top executives for leading companies.

He is a frequent commentator on leadership, CEO succession, and career success. He has appeared on "The Today Show," "Good Morning America," and "The CBS Early Show." He also produced and hosted two television series on CEO leadership that aired on CNN's "Lou Dobbs Tonight" and CNBC's "Squawk Box."

He has written four books, "Lessons from the Top," "Zoom," "The Five Patterns of Extraordinary Careers" and "You're in Charge, Now What?" which have been published in over 10 languages around the world. "The Five Patterns of Extraordinary Careers," and "You're in Charge, Now What?" were Wall Street Journal and BusinessWeek bestsellers. He is currently working on a new book, "Ultimate Potential: Athletic, Career, and Life Lessons from the World's Most Inspiring Sports Leaders" (working title), to be published in 2007.

Jim spent five years as a Consultant with McKinsey & Company. Earlier, he was an associate with Goldman, Sachs & Company and a financial analyst with Morgan, Stanley & Co.

A 1981 graduate of Vassar College Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in economics, he also earned an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, graduating with distinction in 1986.
